About

Who writes here

I am Ghassane LATFI, Technical Lead and software architect. I write the LAJVM articles.

I started in 2014 at Murex, working on financial software integration as a Java developer. I then became the architect and lead of the Connectivity integration framework. After that I worked at startups and scale-ups, on Kotlin, AWS, Spring Boot, http4k, Ktor, Azure and Kubernetes.

A large part of my work is about scalability and performance. That is also where most of the articles here come from: real problems met in production, and how to diagnose them.

I also wrote a book on backend development in Kotlin with Ktor and Exposed, published by Éditions ENI.
